Advanced Disposal's Sam Safety Wants to Keep Kids Safe Around Garbage Trucks

June Is National Safety Month, Summer Means More Kids Playing Outside

PONTE VEDRA, FL, June 15, 2014 /KidZNewswire/ -- Advanced Disposal, an environmental services company, in partnership with National Waste & Recycling Association, today launched the Sam Safety campaign to protect youngsters around all waste collection vehicles.

Advanced Disposal is launching the campaign at the start of National Safety month with an animated video featuring character Sam Safety. The video teaches kids the importance of staying clear from garbage and recycling trucks passing through their neighborhoods and features Sam Safety's catchy song to help them remember the safety message.

"Summertime means more children playing outside when collection vehicles come through their neighborhoods," said Bobby Greene, director of safety for Advanced Disposal. "We created this fun video, and while it's intended for elementary-aged kids, the cautionary message is meant for everyone who has a child they care about."
